Difference

We are NOT a fuel producing company. We do NOT sell recycled oils, we do NOT use recycled oil drums, we do NOT sell other manufacturers' oils and we do NOT use cheap additives to formulate our lubricants like others.

The major oil companies (used to be known as “THE SEVEN SISTERS”) are actually FUEL companies. They manufacture cheap oils and cheap greases as a secondary by-product of the leftover sludge from their prime profit objective – FUEL.

Pricing has nothing to do with us, competition forces almost all oil companies to source cheaper grades of base stocks. At U.S. Lubricants, we continuously improve the quality of our bright stocks with a secondary refining process. As the oil companies bring their prices and quality down, we produce more advanced and pure stocks to formulate our products.

Not The Cheapest, But The Best Value

When a machine breaks down, we always blame it on normal wear and tear and the machinery's life. Not many people realise that the fine steels and latest technologies in the manufacturing industry today will not allow parts and high-temperature alloys to break as soon as they are put in service.

Of course you pay more for U.S. Lubricants, but you will get many times more in return in the end. Absolutely no cost is spared when manufacturing U.S. Lubricants. While the competition sells at lower prices, we excel in quality and proudly state that we are not cheap in quality. Thus you save from the lack of downtimes where you usually would have mechanics fixing/replacing the machinery, is it cheap to repair expensive machinery, trucks or engines?

Let's face it. No one will sell you a product that will get you more out of it than it's expected life; most manufacturers know this. No one, absolutely no one will sell you a cheap car that will perform like a new one, no one will deliver you a machine at a price that sounds silly and claims that it is as good as the latest version. No one will build a pool using second-hand materials and guarantee you that it will last many times longer than another built by using brand new material. You only get what you pay for. Pay less, ignore more, expect miracles and let yourself be taken for a ride. You will think you got a bargain, you are only kidding yourself. At U.S. Lubricants, we are proud to say that we formulate every one of our lubricants – be it a grease or oil, using the most expensive manufacturing techniques, we add the most sophisticated supplements. We mature our lubricants in copper-lined kettles, not in tin (very much like a Scotch from Scotland versus one from some country in the third world). This is why we are not the cheapest, BUT when you try any one of our sophisticated lubricants, you will get your money's worth many, many times over by extending the life of your machinery, extending the life of the bearings, and extending the oil change and re-greasing periods. This is why we are not the cheapest, and we do not wish to be the cheapest.

U.S. Lubricants's Superior Packaging

Without a doubt, we can comfortably say that our packaging is the most advanced and the most versatile. In the lubrication industry worldwide, there is only one exception in the supply of lubricants in an advanced form. Look around to observe what low-quality oils and greases do to your machinery and vehicles. Your lubrication supplier openly delivers you a product in a used, recycled perhaps a dozen or more times drum. A drum which has previously been used by a chemical company or a sugar refining company delivering molasses, or a tallow manufacturers delivery to a soap manufacturing company. Now is a drum of “good” and “cheap” oil to be used in your machinery or truck. It is no secret that almost all oil companies, resellers and recyclers use second, third, fourth or 10th hand drums to deliver lubricants to keep the costs down.

But on top of keeping the cost down, they also have to cut down from the proper formulation to meet their competitor's price, and there is only one way to do so, cut down the quality.

We use extraordinarily regulated single wall pressurised heavy gauge rigid plastic and steel drums. We do not use recycled drums and that's that. Our steel drums do not have inherent sidewalls that could otherwise rupture like cheap drums, and they are capable of expanding to accommodate the lubricants en-route agitation. These extraordinarily formulated drums, accordingly are able to withstand high loadings. While ordinary plastic drums of similar sizes can only stack up to 2 or 3 when filled, our drums can stand up to 12 or more. With our patented pull ring, these drums can not be tampered with – they are impregnable and can bounce back if there is a moderate impact. This is how much we care about our customers.

We also are proud to state that our drums eliminate corrosion, stop leakage, are very light for transportation, easily stackable, very attractive and could be used for many other needs such as bait buckets, washing up buckets, animal and livestock dispensers, sand buckets, waste containers even as childrens' drums!!!

FIRE PROTECTION IN A DRUM

Fire, as we all know, presents a significant risk wherever flammable products are stored. From ignition of the content and possible spread of fire to substantially high cleaning cost with a possible fine from the EPA, the risk must be taken seriously. Therefore, we have decided to choose the very best quality and internally lined steel drums to suit our name and the products we manufacture.

Beside our Paraffinic lubricants, these drums also store our additives, degreasers, greases, carburettor cleaners and other products providing a direct and dependable response to above concerns. Since 1983, we have believed that the ideal container should be an exclusive one to store our exclusive products and, therefore, should have certain quality features to provide certain benefits to the end-user in maintenance and manufacturing industries.

Providing Personal Safety in Unexpected Circumstances

- No explosion was observed for a 21-litre drum, although gentle venting occurred via the closures. In all cases, there was however, little or no container deformation, rupture, buckling or slitting around the seams was evident. Venting typically occurred after 18 seconds, depending on the volatility of contents.

Minimizing Property Damage and Clean-Up Costs

- Steel drums do not melt nor lose integrity under heat. The closure is positioned at the top of the container, so as not to compromise the inherent strengths of the steel. No spillage or splatter of the 21-litre drum was observed.

Keeps The Fire as Short as Possible Against Ordinary Thin Gauged Drums

- The closure was observed to self extinguish as soon as the heat source was removed from the steel drum.

- Minimum contribution of fuel to the fire, as flammable material was confined to the steel drum.
